While making these paintings, it felt like there were trees, flowers and fairy tale creatures growing in the paints on the canvas. The process of applying acrylic paints in different colors adding water and small movements of the canvas or puffs of air, created trees blowing in the wind, dancing tree creatures and flowers sailing down from waterfalls. The process works best when I have an open mind and I do not have a prefixed plan or idea of what I want to create. Many times, prefixed ideas resulted in more forced work. In contrast letting go of these plans and ideas creates unexpected dynamics of paint and flow and resulted here in surprising Tree & Water Fairies.
